and why.

Who we are

RECKKTECH is a technology studio based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. ABN 28 179 848 268. In this notice, "we" and "us" mean RECKKTECH, and "the site" means reckktech.com.

What we collect

When you browse

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read, roughly where in the world they are, and how they arrived. This tells us whether the site is doing its job. It collects:

• Pages viewed, time on page, and the links you follow
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address (Google discards the full IP address and does not store it in Analytics)
• Device type, browser and screen size
• The site or search that referred you

We see this only as aggregated statistics. We can't identify you from it, and we don't try to.

When you contact us

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, optionally your company, the kind of project, and your message. We use it for one thing: replying to you and discussing the work. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't pass it to anyone else.

If you email or call instead, we keep that correspondence for the same purpose.

Server records

Our hosting provider records standard web-server information — IP address, timestamp, page requested — which is used for security and diagnosing faults.

Cookies

The site sets analytics cookies through Google Analytics. They are not required for the site to work, and there are no advertising or profiling cookies.

You can refuse or delete them at any time in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking them will not affect how the site behaves.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of external services to run the site. Each one may receive some information when you visit:

Some of these providers process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone, ever, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Analytics data — retained by Google for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
• Enquiries — kept while we're in contact and for up to two years afterwards, so we have context if you come back. Ask us and we'll delete yours sooner.
• Server logs — typically a few weeks.

Keeping it safe

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Enquiries go to a mailbox protected by multi-factor authentication, and access to our hosting is restricted and individually credentialed. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete it
• Stop using it for a particular purpose

Email roland.dewnath@reckktech.com and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge, and you don't need to explain why.

If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights to data portability and to object to processing under the GDPR. The same email address handles those requests.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If you're unhappy

Tell us first — most things are quickly sorted. If we haven't resolved it to your satisfaction, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or to your local data protection authority if you're in the EEA or UK.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly.
